Day 57: Swings

I really, really love swings. Hard not to program them everyday. It is an amazing movement with numerous applications and benefits. My favorite load is the kettlebell without a doubt, but dumbbells work, too. Anything with a handle - like a ruck (backpack), small sandbag, or….unloaded and done “naked.” {see below}

Time Domain

  • EMOM

    • Spend some pre-workout time working on form, then…

    • Top of each minute, complete 5 two-handed swings

    • Five, 1:00 rounds, in total

    • Start @ 00:00 & complete 5 two-handed swings

    • Rest the remainder of the minute

    • @ 01:00, complete 5 two-handed swings again…

    • Work sets are at 00:00, 01:00, 02:00, 03:00, 04:00

Workout Level Suggestions

  • Level 1: Naked swings

  • Level 2: Dumbbell swings (or another handled load)

  • Level 3: Kettlebell swings

I intend to be explosive with 32 kg (53lb) kettlebell
